You can undergo treatment covered by health insurance for sickness or injury attributable to the actions of another party, as in the case of a traffic accident. However, in such cases, you must submit the Notification of Injury or Sickness due to a Third-party Act as soon as possible.
Cases where it is necessary to file a Notification of Injury or Sickness due to a Third-Party Act
- Injuries due to traffic accidents, including minor accidents or collisions with a third party (the other involved party)
*This includes not only cases of negligence by the other involved person but also cases of negligence by the insured person
Example: crashing into a parked car or a collision with another car that causes one car to overturn - When there is an injury due to a traffic accident, including a minor accident or collision with a third party (the other involved party), and the other party flees the scene
Example: when you suffer an injury due to a minor accident involving the vehicle being driven by the other party, but the other party flees the scene

Example: when a child passenger is injured as a result of an accident involving a car being driven by their mother - Injuries as a result of being bitten by an animal, etc. being kept by another person

- Injuries due to defective equipment in schools, supermarkets, etc.
